World Reggae Supreme salutes the legendary Ska, RockSteady and Reggae singer, songwriter and energetic performer Frederick Nathaniel ‘Toots’ Hibbert OJ, of the world renowned Reggae group Toots and the Maytals. We call for the “Hero of Reggae” and the Maytals Statue, their induction into the ‘Rock and Roll Hall of Fame,’ and ‘Hollywood Walk of Fame’ official recognition; including the prestigious award for ‘Order of Merit’ in their home country Jamaica.
From the corridors of World Reggae Supreme, we felt a sense of duty and great responsibility, to extend our heartfelt support and prayers for his family, fans and loved ones at this time of difficulty and uncertainty – as well as for the doctors, nurses and caregivers who are working around the clock to resuscitate Mr. Hibbert, through his medically induced coma.

On September 11th, 2020 – it was a sad moment in history, to have learned about the passing of Reggae legend Toots Hibbert at age 77. May his family and fans find comfort in grief and joy in celebration from the great legacy that he gave to us; Farewell to the Maytals lead singer – and may his soul find an everlasting peace in his final resting place.
